Back after a week · Elden Ring

Previously on…

You are in Liurnia of the Lakes after being recruited by Ranni the Witch. Your new objective is to search for Nokron, the Eternal City, in service to Ranni. You just defeated Rennala and learned that Renna was Ranni all along, who now commands you to find the hidden treasure of Nokron with her sworn sword Blaidd.

A real recap, written from one hour of a logged playthrough.

How it works

  1. 1

    It watches

It waits in the tray for a supported game to start, then reads the screen twice a second, the way a recording tool does. It never touches the game's memory or files.

  2. 2

    It logs

It reads the text the game already shows (YOU DIED, boss names, GREAT ENEMY FELLED, item pop-ups, area names, subtitles) and writes each event to a local log.

  3. 3

    It recaps

When the game closes, it writes a recap of the session. It also keeps your stats, a timeline of the whole playthrough, and a search over every item, place, boss and NPC.

It leaves out what it isn't sure of

An invented event is worse than a missed one, so every rule rejects by default. Each rule was measured on real frames, and each game was checked against a whole playthrough.

The recap follows the same rule. Every NPC, item and quest it lists has to point to an event in your log, and anything that doesn't is dropped.

Your frames never leave your PC

Screen reading happens on your machine. Stats, the timeline, search and the share card all work offline.

The written recap is the only thing that goes online. It sends the text event log to the model you choose, with your own API key, for a few cents a session. There is no telemetry.
